Our goal here at DisneySub is to facilitate information sharing among enthusiasts of the Disney Nautilus styled submarine from the 1954 motion picture; 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. We share a common interest in the most recognizable submarine in the world, created by Harper Goff with a little help from Walt Disney and known to us all as the DISNEY NAUTILUS. This web site and it's forums does not concentrate on the larger subject of the Leagues movie proper. That topic is currently being addressed at numerous other web sites. Rather, we focus exclusively on the subject of the submarine itself. Sometimes it's a fine line between the movie and the submarine. After all, many of us feel that the Nautilus WAS the movie! The bottom line is that we have lots of fun with the Disney Nautilus topic here at DisneySub.

Our members address a diverse assortment of Disney Nautilus interests. Many are fascinated with the interior compartments, their layouts and how they connect to each other. The grand Salon and the equipment rich Wheelhouse are among the favorites. Others are dedicated to constructing Nautilus replicas. Both resin kit assembly and constructing from scratch materials are covered in great detail. A specialized group of members find radio controlled Nautilus replicas the ultimate challenge and these topics are covered as well. Lastly, we discuss and share images of every detail within and about the Nautilus - yes we have lots to talk about.

We disperse this information in our membership required forum and discussion group. We first started our information sharing group at the free Yahoo Groups! message board and called ourselves; the Disney Nautilus Collector's or DNC for short. Over a period of approximately 4 years our membership grew to over 300 members and we eventually outgrew the board and it's limited interface. DisneySub as we are now called and it's improved full featured forum is the final evolution of that original Yahoo Group.

Information sharing is a very powerful force and we count among our members, the most noted collectors and authorities on the Disney Nautilus subject in the world. They are the backbone of this thing we call, information sharing. I feel privileged to be working with the caliber of fellow Disney Nautilus enthusiasts that allows for me to disseminate new information on a fairly regular basis. I couldn't operate this site without them.

As a legal advisory, you should know that this web site known as DisneySub and it's accompanying discussion forum, is in no way affiliated with the Walt Disney Company nor does our use of Disney copy righted images indicate their endorsement of this web site. Hopefully, we are helping to further the Disney spirit and it's legacy by assisting their already large fan base as it pertains to it's most beloved motion picture; 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and it's most unique creation of all time, THE NAUTILUS.

Respect,
